Lefse School was held at the Norway House in May 2011. Debbie Fosaaen and Bill Knutson served as our instructors. The students had a great time mastering the art of rolling lefse. There were numerous samplings of warm lefse plain, with butter, with cinnamon and sugar, with butter and sugar. Four Filmfest DC attendees won certificates to attend lefse school.
The March Cooking Group meeting was held at a member's home in Washington, DC. Each participant was asked to bring a Norwegian dish to be shared with the group. The cook was given an opportunity to describe the ingredients and process of making the dish as the group tasted each of the dishes.
