The Arctic has become a “hot” topic, with scientists, business leaders, military, and even tourists voicing serious and sometimes conflicting concerns. Norway and the US are two large stakeholders in the region. Our speaker, Linda Priebe, will explain the web of Arctic issues and outline the opportunities and challenges facing the US and Norway.

Ms. Priebe is a practicing attorney at Culhane Meadows where she is Chair of Government Relations. Her practice includes advocacy for Arctic interests before U.S. and international agencies. Prior to joining Culhane Meadows she served for over fourteen years in White House offices as a trusted legal advisor to three U.S. presidential administrations.

When not practicing law, she is a Norwegian- American mezzo-soprano who has performed for foreign ambassadors and the Norwegian Royal Family at venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and Shea Stadium.

If you can’t make for the potluck dinner at 7, please come for the presentation following the dinner. Activities for children will be planned. If you are bringing children email Youth Director Annmarie McCaslin at to ensure enough supplies.
