Make Your Own Folk Costume

Would you enjoy making your own cotton Nordic Folk Costume which would be fun and festive yet comfortable in the hot and humid DC area climate? Talented seamstress will offer a workshop for DC lodge members on March 24th and 25th. Deb led her first “Make Your Own Folk Costume” workshop for her home lodge, Norsk Carolina in 2011 and the participants were The workshop cost is $25. The size of the group will be limited to five, so hurry while space is still available?

Participants will be issued a supply list of items to bring which includes the pattern, clasps, fabric and notions. Deb has a limited quantity of authentic Nordic fabric ($38/yard) and Nordic look fabrics available. Deb has discovered many shortcuts and improvements from the pattern instructions which she will share with workshop participants. Deb is an excellent seamstress and will utilize her measuring skills to ensure that your folk costume will be a good fit.
