Following a brief business meeting to vote on the slate of officers and directors, lodge member Christine Foster Meloni will make a presentation on “The Norwegian Crime Novel.”

She will begin with a brief discussion of the origins of the Scandinavian crime novel and the reasons for its current popularity in the U.S. and the world. She will then focus on several popular Norwegian crime writers whose works have been translated into English including Jo Nesbø and Karin Fossum.

She will conclude with a comparison of the Norwegian and Swedish crime novels. A bibliography of the works of the best-selling Nordic authors will be distributed to those present.
