Most Hospitable Place on the Planet

I am anguished by the sorrow experienced by Norway in July.

My condolences to all, and prayers for the people.

Having lived in Norway for a year, may I say it is the kindest, gentles, most hospitable place on the planet.  Having experienced the parade on Syttende Mai, having seen walking-streets for the first time, having visited Stavekirkes, and climbed mountains, having seen the museum in honor of Kontiki and Leif Eriksson, having tasted kranskekake, and marzipan sjokolade, having loved the people there, having lived free and happy for a year, and having wished that I were Norwegian, I am at a loss to understand what has happened there since I left in 1986.

I will continue to love Norway and Norwegians, and wish you strength and courage as you move forward.

Best Regards,
Ms Rejni Nair
