Lodge meetings typically feature some special program - a special interest speaker, special music or presentation. For example, Dr. Jennifer Paxton was our speaker several times. Dr. Paxton combines a deep knowledge of the Vikings with an engaging and accessible lecture style. In the latest video, she updated us on recent scientific discoveries that are shedding new light on the Viking experience.
Every February, we hold a special presentation by our own lodge members called Visiting Norway. We believe that it is a meaningful way to connect with our roots and to share our heritage with our children. At this meeting, members will share recent travel experiences to Norway and offer up-to-date recommendations and practical travel tips. If you have visited Norway recently, we would love to hear from you. Please contact programs@norwaydc.org if you are interested in sharing your experience!
