Lodge Library
The Lodge Library is one of our membership benefits. Current holdings include over 7,000 items in Norwegian and English. Books, DVDs, VHS, music CDs and LPs as well as periodicals cover a wide variety of subjects about Norway, Norwegian-American immigration and other Scandinavian countries.
You are invited to visit the library room on the lower level of the Norway House. The Library is open before and after meetings and during other cultural center activities.
Items can be checked out on the honor system for a month at a time. Please follow the posted instructions to check out materials, and return items to the box marked “LIBRARY RETURNS." The standard checkout period is one month, and you may renew items by contacting Librarian Carolyn Smith at librarian@norwaydc.org.
The library welcomes donations of new or gently used materials. For more information, contact our librarian Carolyn Smith at librarian@norwaydc.org.
Notice: Please Return Overdue Library Materials
There appear to be many books and movies loaned to Lodge members on the honor system that may have been forgotten and not returned. The check-out period is one month. We plan a library cleaning and inventory in the near future. Please check your shelves for overdue materials.
